Know Yeshua, Know Peace

No Yeshua, No Peace.

Know Yeshua, Know Peace.

Don’t wait ‘till the resurrection to find out.

Humor, Joy, and God's Design in Animals Rewritten 8-17-2026

After watching a few funny animal videos on YouTube, I found myself thinking about something I had never really considered before. Animals can be funny. I do not mean that we simply project our own humor onto them because we are human. There are animals that engage in playful behaviors that can be surprisingly clever, and sometimes what they do is so unexpected that we cannot help but laugh. A dog can become completely absorbed in chasing a toy, a cat can turn an ordinary piece of string into an object of great importance, and young animals can spend long periods chasing, wrestling, tumbling, and running from one another without any real danger being involved. Watching them makes me wonder about the Creator who thought of all of this in the first place. We often look at animals through the narrow lens of survival. We study what they eat, how they reproduce, how they escape predators, how they protect their young, and how they find shelter. Those things certainly matter, but they do no...

Fish, Fire, and Forgiveness: A Morning With the Risen Jesus

Image
The moment when Jesus, risen from the dead, appeared to His disciples on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias is one of the most beautiful and fascinating episodes in the Gospel of John ( John 21:1-14 ).  This seemingly simple encounter, when the disciples catch 153 fish after a night of catching nothing, holds rich layers of meaning that stretch far beyond the physical miracle itself.  In this encounter, Jesus not only reveals His identity and mission but also lays down a profound teaching about the Church, the gathering of souls, and the provision of God to His disciples.  Through careful examination of the Hebrew Scriptures , Greek texts , and early Christian understanding, we can uncover the deep spiritual significance behind the number of fish and the details of this miraculous event. Jesus Appears on the Shore The scene begins with Peter and six other disciples, having returned to Galilee after Jesus' resurrection, deciding to return to their former lives ...

Zion: God's Dwelling Place, Then and Now?

Image
Zion – God's Dwelling Place, Then and Now? Let’s take a walk through the idea of God dwelling on Mount Zion. This concept starts in the Psalms, where we get some of the most beautiful pictures of Zion. In Psalm 2:6, it says, "I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill." There’s something powerful in that. Zion is called God’s "holy hill." In Hebrew, the word for “hill” is gib`ah , which means not just a physical hill but a place of elevation, a place where something is lifted up. It’s as if God is saying, “This is where my King will reign, on the high ground of holiness.” Zion isn’t just any place. It's a place where God sets His authority, where He establishes His presence. Then in Psalm 9:11, we read, "Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; declare among the peoples his deeds." That’s a call to worship, but notice the focus. Zion isn’t just a location—it’s the place where God resides, where His presence is. The Hebrew word for “dwells”...
