Praying Without Ceasing for Those in Danger

Image
A Heart Interceding in God’s Shield Even when our hearts recoil at the thought of bloodshed, God’s Word calls us to intercession. My heart goes with my grandchildren, two who recently joined to serve in the military, another promoted to staff sgnt, and one who has joined the police force. Though I may not always understand the paths they have walked into, they are continually in my prayers, and my spirit remains bound to them in God’s care. Prayer is a shield, not a weapon. Psalm 91 is a fortress for anyone stepping into danger: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” ( Psalm 91:1 ). In Hebrew, “secret place” is מְצוּלָה ( metsulah ), meaning a deep, hidden refuge. God’s covering is not superficial—it is profound, secret, and protective beyond human comprehension. To abide in His shadow ( צֵל ; tsel ) is to live within the very safety of His presence, not merely under His observation. Daily prayer for those in harm’s way e...

The Euphrates River Drying Up And Its Significance In End-Time Prophecy

Image
The drying of the Euphrates River is one of the most vivid and striking images in Scripture when it comes to the end times. John writes in Revelation 16:12 , “ The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east .” The Greek word for “was dried up,” ἐξηράνθη ( exēranthē ), tells us this was a completed action carried out by God Himself. This was not a natural drought or something caused by human hands. YHWH actively moved the water, showing that He is in complete control of history. Nothing happens outside of His timing or His plan, and every word in this verse is full of intention. The Euphrates is far more than a river. In the Tanakh, it marks the eastern boundary of God’s covenant land. It was part of the world that God framed for His people, the border for the patriarchs, and later the edge of empires that rose around Israel. In Gen 2:14 , it is mentioned as one of the rivers flowin...

Mini-Lesson: Who vs. Whom, Bible Style! JUST FOR FUN

Image
Here's a game for ya. Something fun to do with the kids, or other adults. Start with a simple question: “Have you ever wondered which one to use...  who or whom ? It’s like picking the right shoe for your foot!” 1. Explain the difference with a story: Who is the doer : the one walking, talking, or praying . Think of who like a superhero saving the day! Whom is the one being helped, hugged, or listened to , the receiver of the action. 2. The “He/Him” test — the magic trick: If you can say he or she instead of the word, use who . If you can say him or her , use whom . Example: “Who is the bravest? (He is the bravest!)” “To whom did you give your Bible? (I gave it to him.)” 3. Scripture examples to practice: “Blessed is the man who loves YHWH.” “To whom shall I cry in the night?” “The Lord helps who trusts Him.” “With whom do you share your joy?” 4. Fun challenge for the Everyone : Make up your own Bible-style sentences with blanks for who or whom , and t...

FIRE!

Image
Fire. The first time we see it in the Scriptures, it is not a campfire warming a man’s hands, nor a torch guiding a wanderer’s feet, but it is the flame of the Holy One Himself. Exodus 3:2 tells us that the Angel of YHWH appeared to Mosheh “in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” Fire that burns without devouring—that is not natural flame. That is divine presence. Already, from the very beginning, we see that fire is not just heat and light. Fire is revelation. It is YHWH choosing to show Himself in a way that cannot be ignored. But that moment at the bush is only the start. Go back further, to Genesis 15:17 when YHWH cut covenant with Abram. It says, “behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.” The fire was YHWH Himself sealing His covenant promise with Abram, marking that His word cannot fail, His covenant cannot be broken. Before there was Sinai, bef...

The Seven T's Of The Cross

Image
Idea by Mr. H. (my husband):  "I got these Words while looking at the shape of the Cross of Yeshua." Truth is the foundation of everything . Without it, nothing stands; with it, even the storms of life cannot shake us. In Hebrew, אֱמֶת ( emet ) is not just “truth” as a concept, it is God’s nature revealed. Every letter matters : א (Aleph) beginning, מ (Mem) representing water and life, ת (Tav) as the covenant sign. Together, emet is unshakable reality, the alignment of what God says, what is, and what will be. In Greek, ἀλήθεια (alētheia) carries the idea of uncovering, of reality being revealed, not hidden. Yeshua said, John 14:6 , “I am the way, the truth, and the life” , He is the living embodiment of emet . Psalm 119 declares, Psalm 119:160 , “The sum of Your word is truth” . Every stroke, every letter of God’s Word is reality itself, alive and active. Truth is the rock we anchor to before trial even comes. Without it, we drift; with it, we are fortified again...

WARNING: Stand Firm in Yeshua: Recognizing the Enemy and Walking in Victory

Image
The world we walk in today is a battlefield. Most people cannot see it, but it is very real. Every day, spiritual forces move behind the scenes, working to steal, to kill, and to destroy ( John 10:10 ). Satan is relentless. His strategies are ancient, tactics that have not changed since the beginning: he twists the truth, he whispers fear into our hearts, he preys on pride, and he seeks to divide us, from one another and from YHWH Himself. Every lie, every temptation, every act of chaos has a purpose: to shake our trust in God, to blind our hearts, and to make us forget that we are never alone in this fight. The hope we have is not wishful thinking. It is certainty. YHWH sees everything. Yeshua has already won. The battle is real, but the outcome is not in question. Every plan of the enemy has a counter, meticulously laid out in Scripture, waiting for those who choose obedience. The Word of God is living,  chayim , sharper than any two-edged sword, ( Heb 4:12 ). Speak...

God at the Gate of Your Lips

Image
Words carry weight. They are more than sounds or letters; they are reflections of the heart and channels through which life flows. Every conversation, every sentence, every whispered thought has the power to build up or tear down, to bless or to harm. Psalm 141:3 show us that we need to step into awareness of this sacred responsibility. It is a prayer asking God to stand as a watchman at the doorway of our mouths, to guard the words we speak and to guide them according to His truth. Our lips are gateways, thresholds between the inner life and the world around us, and this verse reminds us that God’s presence at this gate transforms our speech into instruments of blessing, wisdom, and life. Psalm 141:3 says, “ Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips .” In Hebrew, שׁוֹמֵר פִּי יְהוָה שַׁעַר שְׂפָתָי ( Shomer pi Adonai, sha’ar sfatay ). On the surface, it looks like a simple request. The psalmist is asking God to help him control his speech, but if ...

Spirit-Led Speech and Sacred Silence

Image
Spirit-Led Speech and Sacred Silence From the very first breath we take, our lives are held firmly in the hands of YHWH.  Each inhale, each exhale, every word that flows from our lips is a sacred gift, never a right to be taken lightly or assumed.  Mr. H said it perfectly: “We can’t even take our next breath for granted.”  This is no mere poetic phrase but a profound spiritual reality that anchors all we do.  Breath is life itself; breath is Spirit; breath is the very presence of God sustaining us moment by moment.  The Hebrew word רוּחַ ( ruach ) means breath, wind, and Spirit, linking the physical and the spiritual seamlessly in one sacred concept.  Without the Ruach , our words fall flat and our voices carry no weight, because it is God who breathes life into us and empowers every word we speak. The opening of the Torah reveals this divine truth clearly: “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light” ( Genesis 1:3 ).  Notice how the v...
